Brief: The New Blood Awards in collaboration with War Child, Secret 7, invited artists to interpret seven song titles through visual artwork, with proceeds supporting children affected by war. The task was to design vinyl covers for three songs.

Solution: The Return to OZ cover explores fantasy and escapism through dreams and drugs, showing how escape can lead to emotional numbness and feeling lost. Something that slowly creeps over plants from one side to the other.

The Black Rain cover represents guilt and sorrow as an unavoidable darkness, capturing the feeling of being trapped in grief.

 

The Warsong cover features a falling bird, symbolizing lost freedom and the devastating consequences of war, with red representing blood and suffering.
